1. Capture video responses Participants can now record video responses directly within your studies, helping you capture their genuine, real-time reactions. Video responses reveal subtle but important cues, like facial expressions and body language, giving you insights beyond what text or audio alone can offer.
Setting up video responses is easy. Just select the "Voice and webcam recording" option in your study settings, available in Explore, Image Task, Rate, and Choose blocks. Videos are embedded directly into the conversation transcripts, making reviewing and sharing with your team effortless.
2. Customize thank you messages for participants You now have the option to tailor the thank you and screened-out messages participants see at the end of your studies. Personalizing these messages ensures a friendly, clear experience for everyone involved.
Simply open your study settings to edit your thank you or screened-out messages. It's an easy way to add a human touch, set clear expectations, or let participants know about next steps or follow-ups.
3. Find the right participants with screening questions We've introduced eligibility screening questions, so you can quickly qualify or exclude participants right at the start of your study. Use our new screening logic in Choose blocks to accept or reject participants based on their initial answers.
Screening participants upfront means your studies stay focused and your insights stay relevant, saving you time and keeping your results accurate and actionable.
4. Test first impressions with five second tests We're excited to launch five second tests, a fast and effective way to test participants' initial reactions and recall of your visual designs. Participants view an image, such as a webpage, ad, or app screen, for a few seconds and then answer follow-up questions to test their understanding and impressions.
Five second tests are perfect when immediate clarity matters, including landing pages, ad concepts, pricing pages, onboarding screens, and more. Simply add the "Concept test" block, set your viewing time, upload your visual, and gather quick, insightful feedback.
That's everything for May! Give these new features a try and let us know how they're helping your research. Your feedback continues to shape Wondering’s future.
